SwitchEasy has just released its new Neotouch cases for the second generation iPod touch. The NeoTouch comes with three comprehensive layers, first being its 0.6mm thick tactile silicone membrane, second its GE Lexan H-Frame, and third its slip-free polyurethane coated I-Clip, which provides excellent protection, but still allows easy access to the screen, home button and headphone jack. Also included are tactile buttons covers for the power and volume buttons. In addition to all of these the NeoTouch comes with two anti-static screen guards, a microfiber wipe, a universal dock adapter, a video stand and a dock connector cover.

“The sheer variety of items in the package, ranging from the video stand to the varied optional protectors, enable users to cover more of their nanos than with any competing clear case we’ve yet seen for this model, and make more of its video capabilities, as well. You get all of this for $20, which is at the low end of the nano case pricing spectrum, and all of the pieces here are well-made. With the exception of the Dock Connector issue noted above, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CapsuleThins to any iPod nano user; it’s otherwise extremely worthy of our high recommendation.” – By Jeremy Horwitz of iLounge.com

Here’s yet another mock-up or maybe even a true depiction of the long anticipated iPod Nano 4G(image below) courtesy of “umpa” which was hosted on flickr.
In this new mock-up of the 4G we can see many new functions and cosmetic changes that were never in the previous Nanos, such as a movable menu wheel which helps when watching movies or videos in landscape mode, this function alone suggest that Apple is still catering towards the more casual “on the go” viewers.
Also noticeable are the scrolling icons at the bottom of the screen, it seems like Apple is going to start adding functions from their popular iPhone onto their Nanos(not confirmed). All in all from this mock-up and many other various ones that are floating on the web, the iPod Nano 4G is starting to look exceptional.

No commentsMagicPad
Pending approval by Apple, the MagicPad will soon be available in the App Store, where it hopes to finally remedy a major fault of the iPhone by adding copy & paste functions that have long been absent from the device.
The features are isolated within the MagicPad, so the App will have to suffice until Apple releases their own copy & paste magic.
